Fred Bowen’s fee:
For the Washington, DC, Metro area: $500
For out-of-town: $1500 plus travel expenses

The Community Read with Fred Bowen
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
(We can easily accommodate an earlier start time, just let us know.)
- [If you are planning to have dinner, it could be served from 6:30-7:00]
- 7:00 –7:20: Fred talks about why he wrote Winners Take All. (It’s a very interesting story involving his beloved Boston Red Sox).
- 7:20 – 7:40: Families discuss the book together using the Discussion Questions card on their table to get the conversation going. Fred moves from table to table and joins in the discussions.
- 7:40 – 8: 00: Fred wraps up the evening and invites families to share some of the highlights of their discussions. He also takes questions. This is a very lively and interactive part of the evening.
- 8:00 – 8:30: Fred will sign the children’s copies of Winners Take All. If you would like to have a book sale and book signing of Fred’s other titles, we can arrange that. Note: 20 percent of the proceeds from the book sale goes to your school. (20 % amounts to about $1/book and $3/audiobook)
