1. Kyle doesn't feel so good after he clinches the win in the big game. Everybody is cheering and congratulating him, but he just wants to go home. Why?

2. Kyle's a good kid, but he made a bad decision because he felt a lot of pressure to win the game. Why do you think he felt that way?

3. Kyle is afraid to tell his teammates (especially Claire), his coach, and his parents the truth about what he has done. How do you think they would have reacted if he had?

4. How is Claire a good friend to Kyle? How is he a bad friend to her? If you were Kyle's friend, what would you say to him?

5. If Jason hadn't confronted Kyle with his cheating, would Kyle have ever told the truth? Or would he have kept his cheating a secret forever?

6. How would you describe Coach Daye? What do you think Kyle's opinion of Coach Daye is by the end of the story? Have you ever been on a sports team? What would your coach do if he found out that someone cheated in a game?
